Originally from Chicago, I am a rising senior double majoring in Spanish (Hispanic Literature track) and Environmental and Sustainability Studies.
My time so far in the Department of Spanish and Portuguese has enriched my experience at IU in more ways than I can count. This past summer, I received a CAHI Undergraduate Research Award which allowed me to conduct independent research on climate change in contemporary Latin American literature with mentorship from Prof. Deborah Cohn. I presented this research at the department’s annual research conference, Diálogos, in February of this year.
